We've got a floater!

We've got a floater!

She floats!

With the trailer fixed, the Wasted Seamen hit the road to Stratford-upon-Avon, their minds buzzing with the anticipation of seeing their new pride and joy in action. Arriving at the riverbank, they nervously backed the trailer into the water. After some less-than-coordinated efforts, involving a fair amount of yelling, laughing, and one near-miss with a swan, the boat finally floated free of the trailer.

To their surprise—  she actually floated! There it was, bobbing happily in the River Avon, as though it had never been anywhere else. The lads stood on the bank, a mix of pride, relief, and mild disbelief washing over them.

With beers cracked open and toasts made, the Seamen clambered aboard, ready for whatever misadventures awaited them on the river. They didn’t have a map, a plan, or even a decent pair of oars—but that didn’t matter. What they did have was a boat that floated, a trailer that didn’t collapse, and a friendship as strong as the questionable welds holding it all together.

And so, the Wasted Seamen embarked on their first (and possibly last) voyage down the River Avon, proving that sometimes, even the most ridiculous ideas can stay afloat—literally.
